BICHOLIM: The contract meter reading staff and other employees of the PWD Water Supply Division from Bicholim Taluka have not received their salaries since COVID-19 pandemic calamity.
For the past several years, the contract water meter readers and other staff have been working in the PWD Water Supply Division, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, the staff salaries have not been paid.

Finally, they met Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, Goa branch Chief Krishna Pal. During a meeting with the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday, Pal demanded that the employees should be paid their salaries as their financial condition was deteriorating.
The Chief Minister said that the employees will get salaries before Diwali.
