WB native held with ganja at Tivim

MAPUSA: The Colvale police arrested Rabbani Rasidul Sarkar (31), a native of West Bengal and presently residing at Tivim on the charge of possessing 710 grams of ganja valued at Rs 71,000 approximately.

Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi on Tuesday informed that based on reliable information, Colvale police team led by PSI Sonam Verenkar along with head constable Pandurang Naik and constables Sulesh Naik, Sadashiv Parab and Rameshwar Gawas conducted a narcotic raid near Maddel junction, Tivim and arrested the accused.

A case has been registered against Rabbani Rasidul Sarkar under Section 20(b) ii (A) of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.

PSI Mandar Parab is conducting further investigation.
