MArgao: Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has on behalf of Goans and especially the families of Goan seafarers thanked Prime Minister Chief Minister, Ayush Minister, Minister for External Affairs and others for the evacuation of the stranded seafarers. He has also urged the above to get back the thousands of seafarers stuck across the globe.
“We thank all the efforts and all the pains taken by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Union Minister of AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik, Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant, Goa Chief Secretary Parimal Rai, and all others for their tireless efforts for allowing disembarking of 182 stranded Indian seafarers including Goans from the three cruise liners Marella Discovery, Karnika and Angriya at Indian ports” said Reginaldo.
The Congress MLA added that it is truly commendable to note that in these days of pandemic, politics has been kept aside and the Opposition has helped the govt. “We, in the Opposition are also committed to the cause of our brethren and our country,” he said.
“I would once again appeal to the above mentioned for the immediate evacuation of other thousands of stranded Indian seafarers including Goans who are eagerly awaiting to be brought back to India from other international cruise liners stationed in various parts of the globe,” Reginaldo added.
