Wood worth Rs 50,000 seized at Virnoda

PERNEM, MARCH 2
Pernem Forest Department raided a site at Bhutan-Virnoda in Pernem taluka and seized illegally felled wood worth Rs 50,000.
Acting on the tip-off, Forest Department team led by Range Forest Officer Shriram Prabhu, Govrish Gaonkar, Umesh Parab and Tukaram Dhargalkar raided the place.
The department has registered an offence against unknown persons and is investigating the case.
