Vasco: Chairman of the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) Carlos Almeida revealed that the work on the much-awaited Vasco KTC bus stand project will restart in February 2021.

“We have asked for a loan of Rs 25 crores from a private bank for this project, said Alemida who is also the Vasco MLA.

Regarding its present status, Almeida said that the piling work of the KTC bus depot has been completed.

“Therefore, we are planning to build the depot first. Once the depot work commences, we will shift inside the KTC bus stand where the parking is, until the depot work is completed.

Almeida added that in the meantime, the financial position of the government will also improve. He also added that ‘some money is coming in the government treasury’, following which, in later phases, they won’t need additional loans for the projects.

It may be recalled that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday in a public function at Vasco  had assured that the long-pending Vasco KTC bus stand project work will restart soon. He had also mentioned that Vasco MLA had pursued that project and due to technical reasons, the project work has remained incomplete.
