‘If MGP has a problem they should discuss internally’

Herald: What is the party’s reaction to MGP’s demand to replace Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar before deciding on the alliance.
Cabral: We condemn it. We would request them to respect the alliance. If they have any problem with our leaders or the alliance, then they should discuss it internally and not make it public.
Herald: So you just want to condemn it. Don’t you think MGP has publicly insulted Chief Minister by raising doubts on his credentials? Is it also not a direct attack on BJP?
Cabral: Who is MGP to attack us? They should always remember that we are the Big Brothers. In 2012 election, people voted for the BJP and not for BJP-MGP alliance. They are just three in numbers. And they should not forget that.  By doubting the CM’s credentials they are doubting the government on the whole, of which they are also part of. If the MGP doesn’t want an alliance, let them tell us straight away.
Herald: So, BJP has no harm if MGP severs ties? MGP- Goa Suraksha Manch alliance can play a major spoilsport?
Cabral: Not at all. With or without the MGP, we are confident of winning 26 seats. We will create history this time. There is a positive wave and people will once againbless BJP. As far as MGP-GSM alliance is concerned, we will have to wait and see. MGP has not yet broken ties with us. If they want to go with GSM, the coming elections will also help in knowing them where MGP stands politically.
Herald: You think it was right on part of a senior Minister like Dipak Dhavalikar to make such a statement against the Chief Minister?
Cabral: By making such a statement, Dipak has shown his credibility. We feel, Sudin should take charge of MGP and hold talks with BJP leaders. He is more sensible than Dipak.
