MARGAO: Navelim Sporting Club will take on St Rock’s Youth Club, Calata- Majorda in the inaugural match of their golden jubilee celebration of 32nd Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament on September 21, at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal. In all 16 top teams are participating. Winners and runners-up is being sponsored by Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat
Schools tennis ball cricket
PANJIM: Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association in collaboration with Sports Authority of Goa will hold 11th Goa State Sub-Junior (U-16) and 8th State Junior (U-19) tennis ball cricket championship (boys and girls) from October 8 to 11, at Mardol. The championships are open to schools, HSS, taluka unit teams and other institutions from the State and will be played as per the rules and regulation of Tennis Ball Cricket Federation of India and GTBCA, which is recognized by SAG. The successful teams will be awarded cash prizes, trophies, mementos and certificates besides individual prizes.
Interested schools and other teams should submit their entries on the letterhead signed by the head of the institution/school alongwith the bonafide certificate in original. MSFS Cup at Aldona
PANJIM: St Thomas High and Higher Secondary School, Aldona will organize their 3rd all-Goa inter-management MSFS Cup football tournament in memory of the MSFS founder Fr Peter Marie Mermier from September 20.
