The GFA’S Second Division inter-zonal play-off moves into its second round on Thursday, with Margao SC in action against St Cruz Club of Cavelosim and Goa Police SC playing St Savio SC at Tilak and Duler respectively for a place in next year’s First Division.
The match between St Savio and Police will be a repeat of last week’s North Zone play-off match where Goa Police got the better of St Savio by a solitary goal scored by Shailesh Patre. Both teams will be looking for their first win after losing their opening matches.
The Margao v. Cavelosim clash is a battle of the South Zone clubs and is sure to be an exciting one as both teams are on three points and looking to top the table.
The in-form players at the moment are Venson Figueredo for Margao, Remy Colaco for Cavelosim, Paresh Morje for Police and Xavier Clemente for St Savio.
