DEUSSUA-CHINCHINIM: Achi Boys won the Amigos of Deussua Trophy, defeating Canacona Strikers 6-2 in convincing fashion at the Deussua ground.
Nigel Fernandes was prominent among the scorers netting quadruple while the other two were scored by Denvil Fernandes and Rohan Fernandes.
Akhil Pagi’s brace for the Canacona Strikers reduced the deficit to 6-2.
A total of 32 teams participated in the tournament.
Chief guest Mario Moraes, Councillor of Cuncolim municipality gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the prescense of Fr Josim D’Souza, Capt. Sydney D’Mello, Agustine Pereira, Manuel Colaco, Cairo Furtado and Fr Hermogenes Fernandes.
