CALANGUTE: Agar Vaddo, Calangute got the better of Khobra Vaddo, Calangute 5-4 via the tie-breaker to clinch 5th Adolf Silveira Memorial Cup inter-ward football tournament organised by Anthony Menezes family, at Calangute Association ground, on Sunday.
Both the teams failed to get on the scoresheet till the end of regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Aloysious Fernandes, George Fernandes, Francis Fernandes, Seby D’Souza and Savio Fernandes were on target for Agar Vaddo while Ashley Lobo, Deepak Gop, Joshua D’souza & Shenil Fernandes were on target for Khobra Vaddo.
Minister for Ports & MLA of Calangute Constituency Michael Lobo was the chief guest Also present were Anthony Fernandes – Radiologist GMC, Special Invitees: Alirio Lobo – President of Calangute Association & Dattaprasad Dabholkar – ZP Member Calangute gave away the prizes.
The winners and runners-up were awarded cash prize of Rs 15,000 & Rs 10,000 respectively plus trophies.
