MATHOL-VERNA: Ambulor 2 registered a solitary goal win over Dulape Boys to move into the quarter-finals of Lazaro D’Silva and Caje Fernandes Memorial inter-ward football tournament, at Mathol football ground, Verna, on Wednesday.
Both the teams started the game on a fast pace and both teams strikers tested the rival goalkeeper in the first twenty minutes of the match.
As the match progressed in the 25th minute, Ambulor 2 took the lead through Nevil Menezes who beat the goalkeeper Benny Abranches with a powerful shot.
Ambulor 2 will now meet the winner of FC Mathol Jrs and Castelwaddo in the quarter-finals on April 23.
