PORVORIM: Betaltbatim Cricket Club beat Sakura Sports Club by 8 wickets in the GCA C Division State final match, at GCA ground, on Wednesday.
Betalbatim CC won the toss and elected to field. Sakura SC were bowled out for 37 runs in 9.1 overs.
Utkarsh Gawas(15) was the only batsman to reach double figures.
The Betalbatim bowlers put in a stellar performance as Dhondu Tulaskar swept the batting order with a brilliant spell of 6-17 in 5 overs followed by Roshan Naik who picked a wicket.
Betalbatim CC chased the target in 4 overs as Rudra Govdra remained unbeaten with 27 runs.
The Sakura bowlers couldn’t do much to change their fortunes in the one-sided final. Gokuldas and Sattyam grabbed a wicket each.
