MARGAO: Anantpur CA defeated Margao Cricket Academy by one wicket in the Bhikoo Pai Angle Cricket tournament, at Fatorda ground, on Wednesday
Winning the toss and electing bat, MCA were restricted to 102 in 32.3 overs with Vaishak Nayar (32) and Raunak Singh (10) being the top scorers of the innings. Manideep (3-13), Tanveer (3-20) bowled excellent for Anantpur.
In reply, Anantpur chased down the target in 34.3 overs with a wicket in hand.
Pawan (26) and Manideep (36)put in decent performances with the bat. Anwar (5-10) was the pick of the bowlers while Aryan Prabhudessai, Roshan Bekwadkar and Anvit Bhobe picked a wicket each.
At Agonda ground, Dwaraka CA made light work of SAG by chasing the target in 2.1 overs. Winning the toss and batting first, SAG were bundled out for 24 in 12.3 over. None of the SAG batsmen could reach double figures.
Sahil Banagi (5/5) and Mustansir Khandwala (4/6) were outstanding with the ball.
Openers Mohammed Trunkwala (13*) and Mustansir Khandwala (7*) had a field work with the SAG bowlers.
