Anshuman. Dheeraj win double crowns, Mallika, Prutha & Aaron clinch titles

MARGAO: Anshuman Agarwal and Dheeraj Rai won double crowns while Mallika Gogoi and Prutha Parrikar walked away with the ladies and junior girls singles titles respectively, at the All Goa Major Ranking table tennis tournament organised by BPS Sports Club, Margao under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association(GTTA), at BPS Club premises, Margao. 
Rishan Shaikh’s unbeaten streak was brought to an end by Atharv Dhulapkar who emerged mini cadet boys winner. 
There were no other major upsets in other events with Ruchi Kirtani and Aaron Farias maintaining their fine run of form to win the mini cadet girls and cadet boys titles respectively. 
Najida Shaikh hit top gear in Sub junior girls singles to down Trisha Verlekar with a 3-1 margin. 
Anshuman Agarwal proved his mettle in the sub junior and the junior boys singles registering identical 3-1 wins over Shantesh Mapsekar and Nagesh Verenker respectively. In the ladies singles, Mallika got going right from the word go demonstrating a mix of fine aggression and control to register a facile 3-0 win over Prutha Parrikar in the ladies singles final. 
Prutha had her consolation in the junior girls event, which she won with a 3-1 win over Sanisha Shetye. 
The match of the day was the men’s singles finals which went the whole distance. Manish Yadav gave top seed Dheeraj Rai a huge scare by taking a 3-2 lead. Dheeraj however kept his cool in the last two sets to edge out his opponent in a pulsating 4-3 win. 
In the men’s doubles finals, Dheeraj and Manish partnered to oust Diljeet Velingkar and Shantesh Mapsekar with a 3-1 score line.
