PONDA: Young skater Anvay Dhavalikar of Gurukul Academy, Ponda secured a gold medal at the Goa skating festival organised by Sports Lup, an Open Roller Sports promotional tournament held at Fr. Agnel Ashram, Nuvem.
He secured the first position in 500 metres U-10 age category. Besides the gold medal, he was presented with a scholarship cheque prize of Rs 1 lakh.
The headmaster and management of the school congratulated Anvay for his hard work and determination.
Anvay’s parents Amol Dhavlikar and Vaishali Dhavlikar along with his coach Ashish Wagh were also praised for his achievement.
