CANSAULIM: Former National Women’s Football player Linete D Costa from A. A. De Majorda beat Percy Dourado of SAG, Cansaulim to win the one-a-side tie- breaker football tournament organised by the Goa Football Association (Mormugao Zone) on the occasion of Women’s Day, at the Dr T B Cunha SAG ground, Cansaulim, on Friday.
The participants displayed excellent footwork and sporting spirit during the tournament. Venant Fernandes Ex. Duty Manager of Jet Airways presented the trophies to the winner, runner-up and certificates to the all the participants.
Later the women workers at the Lazaro de Souza-SAG ground, Velsao and Dr T B Cunha-SAG ground, Cansaulim were felicitated at a glittering function at the hands of Hilario Braganza. Linete D Costa former National Womens Football player and presently coach with GFDC besides managing the age group teams of A. A. De Majorda was also felicitated by Francisco Nunes, GFA Member.
