PANJIM: GFA hands a deadline for FC Goa to confirm their participation in the Goa ProLeague by paying a part fee on August 29.
According to GFA General Secretary Welvin Menezes, the Association had asked the ISL franchise to pay Rs 50 lakhs for their entry into the league. However, the club had asked for grace period to pay the same.
“FC Goa has been asked by GFA to pay a sum of Rs 15 lakhs as part of the entry fee and Rs 20 lakh as deposit by August 29 for their entry into the league. While the balance amount (Rs 15 lakh) has to be paid by January 31, 2018,” informed Welvin. It may be recalled that FC Goa had shown interest to get the direct entry into the league by paying the fee.
