PANJIM: Augustias Sporting Club came from behind to hold Bastora United to a 2-2 draw in the Goa Football Association Third Division League match played at Quitula ground, on Friday.
Bastora took the lead in the 22nd minute through Inacio, who doubled the account at the half hour mark. Bastora United led 2-0 at the break.
Changing ends, Augustias came back strongly and netted two goals late in the game through David Pereira’s brace.
At Bicholim ground, Bidesh XI hit four past BAFF. Chandan Govekar scored a fine brace for the winning side with the able support of Saiesh Kavlekar and Chandan Narulkar, who scored a goal each. BAFF pulled a goal through Rama Parwar.
At Chapora ground, ABC SC Arambol and Chapora Yuvak Sangh played out an enthralling 3-3 draw.
Yellappa Salyappago netted a brace for Chapora while the other was scored by Pundalik Madgaonkar. Manuel Rodrigues also netted a brace for ABC SC and the third was scored by Vassudev.
In another match at Anjuna ground, Prakash Rathod netted a brace to help Verem United register a 4-0 win over Adarsh Yuvak Sangh. Frazer Fernandes and E Baleri were the other goal scorers. AT Ambelim ground, SCC Poitomado beat Ambelim SC 4-0.
GFA U-14 League
Sarzora Sports Club eased past Wilred Leisure 4-2 in the Goa Football Association U-14 League match, played at Cunolim ground, on Friday.
Aniket Raikar scored a brace for the winners while the other goals were netted by Gavon Sequeira and Milroy Ferrao were the other goal scorers. Wilfred scored through Macnelle Dias and Asher Fernandes.
