Baga Boys champions

The Baga Boys, Ashvem defeated Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Club, Chopdem in the finals of soccer championship organised by Arambol ABC Sports Club, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel high school ground, Arambol, Pernem.
In all, 16 teams participated in the championship.
The winners received Rs 6,000 and a trophy.
Sports Minister, Manohar Azgaonkar reiterated that the proposed sports city at Dhargal will generate job avenues to the unemployed youths and help to promote sports facilities in Pernem.
