MARGAO: United Club of Benaulim blanked Dicarpale Sports Club 2-0 to sail into the quarter-finals of all-Goa Bro Eulalio Vas memorial inter-village football tournament, organized by Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, Sunday.

Benaulim led 1-0 at the breather. Benaulim took the lead in the 8th minute when Sunny Rodrigues bulge the net.

Spurred by the early success, Benaulim intensified their attacks but near miss by their forwards prevented them from doubling the lead.

At the other hand, Dicarpale tried their best to neutralized the lead but failed to get past the rival rear guard.

Crossing over, Benaulim scored the insurance goal in the 47th minute when striker Rody Fernandes picked up the ball from his own half and unleashed a snap shot to beat the rival goalkeeper hands down.
