MAPUSA: Benny XI Sports Club had an easy outing as they trounced Peddem Bomm Sports Club 6-2 in the GFA’s 3rd Division League, at Chapora YS ground, on Monday.
Benny SC went into the breather leading 2-1. Michael Dias netted a brace scoring in the 24th and 28th minutes.
In the 39th minute, Shayn De Souza managed to pull a goal back for Peddem Bomm from close quarters.
On crossing over, Benny XI pinned their opponents mostly inside their own territory and pumped in four more goals with Michael Dias netting a hat-trick and Nikesh Mangueshkar accounted for the sixth goal in the 81st minute for the Mapusa side.
In the added time, Peddem scored their second goal through Melwin D’Souza.
At the Siolim ground, Holy Cross Arambol scored a convincing 2-0 win over Xetrapal SC.
Arambol netted a goal in each session of play.
Hemant Rodrigues opened the account in the 43rd minute with a neat placement while Aryan Naik further consolidated the lead for Arambol scoring from inside the penalty box.
