CAVELOSSIM: Betalbatim Sporting thumped United Club Benaulim 5-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Cavelossim Village Panchayat Cup organised by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim, at Fr Dunstan & Wellington ground, Cavelossim, on Sunday.
Betalbatim Sporting surprised their opponent in the very first minute by scoring a goal through Klusner Pereira to give an early lead.
In quick succession, Benaulim’s Faizal Bepari missed a sitter with only the keeper at his mercy. Later, Benaulim’s Romarlo Baretto levelled the score.
In the second half, Alarico gave a through pass to Dylan who made no mistake to place the ball in the net.
Betalbatim scored another three goals through Klusner Pereira, Manushan Fernandes and Ronaldo Coelho to take the final score to 5-1.
