PANJIM: Special Olympic Bharat contingent won 73 medals including 37 gold, 10 silver and 26 bronze at the Special Olympic World Winter Games, Austria.
India had sent 89 Athletes to compete at the mega event that witnessed participation of 2500 Athletes from 105 nations, out of which six Goan athletes excelled in their respective sport.
Issac Bijapuri, Hanumant Bandivadar, Rutraj Goculdas and Shanur Nasargi won gold at floor hockey event.
Navdeep won gold in floorball while Bibi Aisha clinched bronze in floor hockey in female category.
The team was led by Head of Delegations Victor R Vaz and Floor Hockey coach Mahadev Shinde.
