RAIA: Calangute Veterans defeated Chinchinim Veterans by a solitary goal and moved into the next round of the late Clement Memorial Veterans football tournament organised by Youth of Fatrade and played at Varca ground, on Tuesday.
Markus Carvalho and Robert Fernandes contributed in midfield for Calangute in the 6 and 10th minutes, respectively, while Nikita and Jerry missed chances for Chinchinim in the 15th and 20th minute.
Calangute netted the match winner in 22nd minute of the first half through Sebastian Fernandes.
