SIRLIM: Chandor Sport Club edged past Nerul Sport Club 3-2 to move into the quater final of the 23rd All Goa Our Lady of Merces 8-a-side inter-village tournament, at Our Lady of Hope church ground, Chinchinim, on Tuesday.
Both the team started on a slow pace and in the 10th minute of the match, Vitorino Fernandes powerful right footer was well saved by the Nerul keeper Dnyaneshwar. In the 15th minute, Brivon Dais put Chandor in the lead with neat placement.

However, the lead was short-lived for Chandor as Anilcet of Nerul with fine header to Victorino made 2-1 for Chandor Sport Club.
Post-resumption, Victorino scored his brace to put Chandor in 3-1 lead. Akash of Nerul reduced the margin to 2-3.
Yellow cards were flashed to Moises Dias of Chandor Sport Club and Anilcet while Dnyeashwar of Nerul Sport Club got red card.
