MAPUSA: Chapora Yuvak Sangh registered a thumping 8-0 win over CDJ Ribandar in the GFA’s Division I League match played at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday.
It was an easy outing for the beach side team who found little resistance from their opponents who had just one player in the substitution bench. After three consecutive defeats Chapora Yuvak Sangh came with three straight wins, while CDJ Ribandar have won just one match against Candolim SC.
Chapora YS came strongly into the match as they went into the breather leading with 6-0 margin.
Skipper Sachidanand Satelkar stole the limelight as he pumped in four goals in the first session with Cyprian Rodrigues and Saimesh Gaonkar adding their names to the scorers list.
On crossing over, Chapora Yuvak Sangh colts carried on their onslaught where after Cyprian Rodrigues failing to connect two deadly cross from Ronaldo Pereira and Vellington Almeida finally scored off Sachidanand cross 7-0.
As the match progressed, substitute Chandrakant Gadekar saw his open sitter miss the target narrowly, while Ronaldo header sailed just over the crossbar. In the added time, finally, Chandrakant hammered the last nail into CDJ Ribandar’s coffin, 8-0.
