BENAULIM: CRC Chinchinim defeated Varca Sports Club 3-1 in the St Sebastian Union Club Benaulim Cup football tournament and the match played at St John the Baptist ground, Dando Benaulim, on Friday.
CRC Chinchinim scored two quick goals through Merilo Ferrao in the 16th and 18th minute, while Sunny Simoes further inflated the tally to 3-0 in the 32nd minute.
Nash Pereira pulled a goal back for Varca Sports Club in the 55th minute.
CRC Chinchinim will meet Parish Youth Nuvem in the quarter-finals on July 6.
