Chinchinim Veterans held the edged over their opponents right from the start of the proceedings as Ivan Fernandes and Francis Fernandes tormented the rival defence to score but rival defender Jil Soares left them frustrated.
The centre back blocked a powerful shot in the sixth minute of Ivan.
Subsequently, Jil got into action and unleashed a long ranger but the rival keeper was up to the task.
In the 14th minute, Bobby set up Ivan with a perfect through ball and the latter finished with a deft placement.
As the match progressed, Chinchinim grew in confidence and doubled their advantage as Augustine Cardoza gave finishing touches to a supply from Lorry Fernandes in the 20th minute.
Crossing over, Jose Cookies tried hard to equalize but Derek Pinto’s grounder was cleared to safety in the 55th minute by Ivan.
Subsequently, Jil saw his promising header hit the cross piece and rebound back to play as he shot wide on his second attempt.
