COLVA: Cross road boys A of 4th ward Colva defeated Cross Road Boys B 6-4 via the tie-breaker to lift the Late Crizostimo Rodrigues trophy inter-ward football tournament organised by Fishermen’s boys of Colva, at Colva ground, recently.
Keith Rodrigues of Cross road boys A found the net to give his side the lead in the final in the 47th minute.
Two minutes later, Francis Pauskar made it 2-0 for Cross road boys A.
Jesus Cardozo netted a brace for Cross Road Boys B in the 49th and 50th minute to bring his side on level terms.
In the tie-breaker, Cross Road Boys A proved to be better shooters. The winners were awarded Rs 30,000 and runners-up had to settle for Rs 20,000.
Antonio Leo Fernandes, Sarpanch of Village panchyat Colva was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up along wither other dignitaries and club officials.
