Cuncolim Union trounced Union of Chinchinim Villagers 3-1 to storm into the semi-finals of All-Goa Eslinda Alemao memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Sporting Club of Davorlim at Davorlim ground, on Tuesday. Cuncolim led 1-0 at half time.
Cuncolim broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when Rosario Carvalho’s attempt from the edge of the box beat the rival goalkeeper.
Changing over, Rosario struck again for Cuncolim after receiving a well measured through pass from Franky Pereira. Chinchinim tried their best to reduce the margin but failed to get past the rival defence.
Franky Pereira rounded off the tally for Cuncolim in the dying minutes.
