Cuncolim will meet Navelim in the finals of 1st All-Goa Invitational Lalit Suri Football Cup-2010 at Devabhag ground on Wednesday. They led 1-0 at the break.
In the second semi-final today, Cuncolim XI outplayed Assolda Boys 2-1.
Assolda Boys goalkeeper Mohamed was outwitted by a volley from Cuncolim’s Mickey boots.
Twenty minutes into the second half Cuncolim increased their lead to 2-0 through Jackson, after the goalkeeper made a blunder racing out and missing the ball completely.
Assolda Boys bounced back late into the match to score a solo effort goal by Vickey in the closing stages.
Assolda Boys’ Vickey was adjudged man-of-the-match.
