PANJIM: Curtorim Gymkhana trounced Clube Sao Miguel de Taleigao 5-1in the Geno- Goa Football Association 1st Division League match, at Navelim ground.
Joshley Gomes scored a fine hat-trick for the winners while Milagres Fernandes and Allan were the other goal getters for the Curtorim side. The winners led 2-0 at the break as Allan opened the scoring in the 27th minute before Joshley inflated the lead just before the breather.
Crossing over, Joshley scored two and Milagres also scripted his name on the scoresheet. CSM reduced the deficit through Sachin.
Meanwhile, Youth Club of Manora recorded their second straight win after their resounding 3-0 win over Cuncolim Union at Ambelim ground. Manora led 1-0 at the break. Jouston Barbosa, Safik Shaikh and Danny Fernandes were the goal scorers for Manora. Jouston was named the man-of-the-match.
At Poriat ground, St Savio SC scored a 90+4th minute equalising goal through Siddarth Shirodkar to hold Goa Police SC to a 1-1 draw.
Goa Police had taken the lead in the 38th minute through Milind Shinde.
St Savio’s A Gaonkar and Thapa and Goa Police’s Shadik Shaikh were cautioned by the referee while Goa Police’s Shaikh S was sent off for a challenge with a direct red card.
