PER-SERAULIM: Curtorim Veterans edged past Chinchinim Veterans 3-2 to move into the next round of the Colva Veterans football tournament, at Mabai ground Per-Seraulim, on Wednesday.
Chinchinim Veterans scored the opening goal in the 13th minute through Raymond off Denzie Ferrao’s connect.
Anthony of Curtorim Veterans missed the goal by a whisker in the 15th minute. At half time score was 1-0 in favour of Chinchinim.
Second half was totally dominated by Curtorim Veterans and in the 36th minute Oliveira equalised for Curtorim and in the 38th minute.
Curtorim took the lead through Seby Pereira to make it 2-1 and in the 40th minute while Seby Vaz made it 3-1 for Curtorim.
In the dying minutes of the match Mahesh Lotlikar scored for Chinchinim with a beautiful shot but failed to find the equaliser as the score remained 3-2.
In another match, Navelim Veterans got the better of Canaguinim Veterans 3-2
Sukdev Arvade scored a brace while Vicky Fernandes scored the match winner for the team.
Vincent Barbosa and Rosario Carvalho scored a goal each for Canaguinim Veterans.
