Damodar High School Wins Salcete Taluka U-14 Cricket Tournament

Damodar High School, located in Salçéte Taluka, has emerged as the champion. In the inter-school cricket tournament for players under 14 years, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Shri Damodar Vidyalaya English High School in Komb Margaon triumphed over Bhatikar Model High School from Gogol, securing the title of  Salçéte Taluka Champion. Bhatikar High School managed to score 89 runs within the allotted 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Notable contributions came from Pramtha Prabhu Gaonkar, who scored 24 runs, and Sanj Naik, who added 20 runs.

For Shri Damodar High School, Abhishek Lamani excelled with the ball, taking 4 wickets for just 9 runs, while Anash Kashyap claimed 2 wickets. In response, Damodar High School successfully chased down the target, scoring 93 runs in 16 overs and losing 4 wickets. Rumman Mulla led the batting with 30 runs, followed by Faiyaz Sheikh with 24 runs and Chintan Lamani with 17 runs. Bhatikar’s Ayan Borkar took 2 wickets, while Sahil and Vedant each took 1 wicket. Ultimately, Damodar High School won the match by 6 wickets.
