DBO Fatorda register solitary goal win over CAC Cansaulim

CALATA- MAJORDA: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda gained a solitary goal victory over CAC Cansaulim to move into the final of the 30th St Rock’s Super Soccer organised by St Rock’s YC, at St. Rock’s ground, Calata-Majorda, on  Sunday. 
 Both the teams started the game on a fast pace and both goalkeepers were tested. 
Don Bosco took the lead in the 10th minute through Simon Andrade who beat the CAC goalkeeper Alison Soares with a powerful shot from top of the box.
CAC could have equalised in the 20th minute when Veegan Ferrao’s free-kick was blocked by Don Bosco goalkeeper Blinghton Barreto.
In the 29th minute, the Fatorda goalkeeper came for his team’s rescue by bringing up a smart save off  Agnelo D’Souza’s shot. 
At lemon time the score read 1-0. 
In the second half, Cansaulim tried for the equaliser but it the Fatorda defence stood like a rock. 
In the 54th minute again it was the Fatorda goalkeeper Blinghton who denied Cansaulim the equaliser when he saved a header by Roswel Figueredo from a corner taken by Arron Fernandes. Don Bosco Oratory will now meet host St Rock’s YC, Calata in the final on April 7.
