After the break, St Anthony started with promise and harassed the rival defenders with well sporadic raids. They nearly found success but DBO goalkeeper Terence Barbosa was quick in frustrating the rival attacks.
Sunny Fernandes, who looked dangerous, came close but his try was blocked by DBO goalkeeper Terence Barbosa.
St Anthony could have scored the match-winner after Sunny moved swiftly inside the rival penalty area but rival defender Agnelo Barretto made a timely tackle. Then, DBO goalkeeper Terence denied Socorro Fernandes’ rasping effort.
After the teams were still locked in tie-breaker, the issue was finally resolved in the sudden-death in DBO’s favour.
DBO were richer by Rs 30,000 while St Anthony had to settle for Rs 25,000.

Benaulim Constituency MLA Caitu Silva was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour Indra Costa, managing director of Costa and Company; Remmy Fernandes, sarpanch of Benaulim Village Panchayat, panch member Annie D’Costa and Doma Fernandes, ex-president of United Club of Benaulim.
