DBO move into quarters carmo soccer

Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeated Cuncolim Union 3-1 to enter the quarter-finals of 3rdAll-Goa Carmo Dias memorial football tournament organised by Union of Chinchinim Villagers at church ground, Chinchinim on Monday. The teams were tied 1-1 at half time.
Vincent Barbosa drew first blood for Don Bosco in the 18th minute when he headed a pass from Cliff Barettto.
Stung by the setback, Cuncolim Union regrouped and showed a lot of character and fighting spirit. They launched a full scale attack and were rewarded in the 28th minute when Deepak Velip struck the equalizer.
Don Bosco put up a better display in the second half with Santan Furtado beating the rival goalkeeper with a rasping shot. At the fag end, Valentino Silva rounded off the tally for Don Bosco.
Deepak Velip of Cuncolim Union was awarded the man-of-the match prize.
