PANJIM: Don Bosco Oratory got the better of Ave Maria AWC 2-1 in the U-14 league match, organised by Goa Football Association and played at Don Bosco ground on Wednesday.
Siddel Araujo opened the scoring for the Don Bosco side in the 8th minute as Velroy Faleira added another in the 21st minute to give his team a two goal lead. Ave Maria AWC pulled one goal down through Gaurang Sardessai in the 68th minute.
Betalbatim Sports Club suffered a 2-0 defeat to Verna SCA at home. Arif Sayed and Mysler Braganza scored for the Verna side.
Verna SCA totally outplayed their opponents in the one-sided affair.
At Curtorim ground, YWSC Assolna played out a 1-1 draw against Wilred Leisure SC.
Both teams played out strong as neither of them managed to break the deadlock in the first session. Videsh Naik gave the Assolna side the lead in the 68th minute but their joy was short lived as Darius Fernandes levelled things up for Wilred Leisure the very next minute.
