A debate `when will India feature in World  Cup football’ will be telecast by Doordarshan (Goa) on Friday, July 8 between 6 and 7 p.m.
Since the football enthusiasts turned out in large numbers to participate in the debate, the programme will have two parts which will be telecast on the same day.
The panel of experts comprises former Olympian footballer Fortunato Franco, Savio Messias (GFA secretary), Tonito Botelho Chairman, GFA Youth Development Programme, Raj Gomes, secretary, Salgaocar Sports Club, Vishwas Gaonkar, coach of Sporting Clube de Goa, Dr Bhatikar, administrator of Sesa Football Academy, Fr Wilfred Fernandes, manager, Don Bosco College, Panjim, Lume Pereira, football commentator, Richard Dias, event manager, Tony Dias, deputy commissioner of Customs, who recently returned from South Africa after witnessing some World Cup matches with an eye on the infrastructure.
At least one, in the discussion, opined that he might not be alive to see India in the World Cup while another felt that India should opt to host the event in the future.
