AGENCIES NEW DELHI: Delhi Dyanmos, the Indian Super League (ISL) franchise who finished just outside the top four in their first season in the competition, are set to leave behind their long period of inactivity in the transfer window, with a number of potential deals waiting in the pipeline.
The franchise has already agreed terms with former Liverpool star John Riise, while the negotiations with former Swedish international Anders Svensson has also entered the final stage.
Riise, a former Norwegian international, who was a part of Liverpool’s Champions League and FA Cup winning squads, played a part in APOEL’s double winning season in Cyprus last season. Meanwhile, Svensson, who made a record 148 appearance for the Swedish national team, was last playing for Elfsborg – a club for whom he has spent 18 seasons of his career.
The capital-based franchise has also signed Anderson Sebastiao Cardoso, popularly known as Chicao, to strengthen their defense.
