Dempo eye I-League crown

Fomer I-league champions Dempo Sports Club will be the overwhelming favourites against Air India, Mumbai in a 24th round match of ONGC I-League at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda on Wednesday.
With one win and a draw in the their last two encounters Dempo are all set to regain the I-League title for the second time.
Dempo currently on top with 47 points from 23 matches look sure to walk away with the title.
Dempo will start with only two foreigners. Ranty Martins will spearhead the attack along with striker Joaquim Abranches. Brazilian playmaker Roberto Mendes da Silva will marshal the midfield along with Climax Lawrence, Anthony Pereira and Clifford Miranda. Abhijit Mondal will be tending the goal while John Dias, Anwar Ali, Samir Naik and Valeriano Rebello will form the back four.
Dempo chief coach Armando Colaco brushed aside the talk of pressure being on his side. “We have two more games to go and just require four points,” said Colaco, who sounded confident that the title would return to their showcase.”
Air India coach Yusif Ansari has problems. Mohammed Nabeel continues to be ruled out due to an injury. To compound matters, Air India will miss the services of Allen Dias and Praneel Mandon for double booking.
