PANJIM: V Dempo Higher Secondary School (HSS) of Arts Science and Commerce, Cujira secured the Tiswadi taluka Subroto tournament title defeating Fr Agnel High School, Pilar, 5-0, in the finals played at St Cruz football ground on Wednesday.
Dempo HSS led 3-0 at half time. Vedant Gadekar (5th minute) with curved corner kick opened the doors for Dempo HSS. Mehboob Tambekar (15 and 25th minute) scored twice in the first half. In the second half Ashon (40th minute) and Kayden Faleiro (61st minute) increased the margin with beautiful display of passing and ball tackling.
Dempo HSS will now meet winners of Bicholim taluka in the inter-district to be played at Duler ground, Mapusa on Thursday.
