NAGOA-VERNA: Dempo SC and FC Goa played out a 1-1 draw in the Hero India sub-junior Youth League organised by AIFF, at Nagoa-Verna ground, on Sunday.
It was Sigmund Rebello who sent in a long ball to Dempo striker Nathan Coutinho who ran from the centre and scored for Dempo in the 39th minute but the joy was short-lived as FC Goa’s Merwin Fernandes assisted defender Grenville Nunes just above the 18 yards box who equalised in the 45th minute.
Just few minutes before the final whistle, Dempo’s Brendon Pereira failed to convert of a penalty kick.
