VASCO: The 1st edition winner Devesh Naik along with 49 others took joint lead with 2 points after the second round of the 2nd edition all Goa late Shanbhagh & Sumati Memorial tournament, on Saturday.
The tournament sponsored by Venkatesh Charitable Trust and is organised by Mourmugao Taluka Chess Association and is ongoing at the Chowghule Centenary Hall, Baina.
The winner of the tournament will walk away with the enormous rolling trophy along with cash and the winner trophy and the top 20 players and category winners will be also awarded prizes.
The tournament is being played under Swiss league system with 8 rounds and the 4th round will be played at 10 a.m. on February 9.
