PANJIM: Dhempe College, Miramar outplayed V. M. Salgaocar Law College, Miramar 3 – 0 in the Inter Collegiate Football Championship organised by Goa University at the Taleigao turf.
Rohit Janardhan scored in the first half, while Rinson Pereira and Gauresh Dias with one goal each increased the tally in the second half.
In another match S. Caculo College, Mapusa overcame PCCE, Verna 1 – 0, the all important goal coming off the boots of Samuel Almeida before the breather.
Earlier Don Bosco, Panjim got the better of G.E.C. Farmagudi 3 – 1, with all the goals coming in the first half. Ali Reza scored a brace while Leonardo De Souza scored the other one for Don Bosco. Sandeep Govenkar was the lone scorer for G.E.C.
Meanwhile Govt. College, Khandola defeated Damodar College, Margao 2 – 0, both goals finding the nets in the second half through Prayjet Kerkar and Sairaj Dhulapkar.
