PANJIM:Don Bosco High School, Panjim emerged Tiswadi taluka champions in the GCA’s U-16 Dilip Sardessai Trophy Cricket tournament, defeating Old Goa Educational Institute by 100 runs.
In the final played at Campal ground, Don Bosco put a 192/8 in 40 overs.
Harsh Jethaji (47) Reiner Fernandes (26), Suhas Pilarnkar (19), Vishwa Gajinkar (15), Yashas Naik (12) and Sagar Vantamuri (13) scored for Don Bosco.
Aslam Sindagi, Sonu SinghS Tirkey, Vikas Kumar Mahato, Sagar Havanur and Vinit Kumar Surepag picked one wicket each for Old Goa.
In reply, Old Goa were all out for 100 runs in 22.2 overs. Sonu Singh 22, Kamarjama Shah 18 scored for Old Goa. Harsh Jethaji and Sagar Vantamuri picked three wickets each for Don Bosco while Suhas Pilarnkar and Yashas Naik picked one each.
