PANJIM: Don Bosco Engineering, Fatorda defeated Post Graduate, Goa University 2-1 to move into the next round of Goa University football championship for men at Goa University football ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Wednesday.
Prestly Gomes scored both the goals for Don Bosco while Adelbert Cardoso pulled one back for PG, Goa Univeristy.
In another match Fr Agnel College, Pilar defeated Chowgule College, Margao 2-0.
Nikesh Mangueshkar and Shankar Goundar scored for Fr Agnel, Pilar.
Chowgule College tried to get back in the match however their strikers fumbled at the goal.
St Xavier’s College, Mapusa defeated Govt College, Khandola 2-0.
St Xaviers dominated the match proceedings wherein Omkar Salelkar gave the lead for his team while Shawyn Fernandes exploited the gaps in the defence of Govt College Khandola and made a beautiful strike to double the lead.
Govt College Kandola strikers were wasteful at the upfront as they failed to convert the chances.
