FATORDA: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda got the better of Varca Sports Club 1-0 to march into the quarter-finals of the All Goa Bro Eulalio Vas Memorial inter-village football tournament, organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, at DBO ground, on Wednesday.
Varca SC had the first chance in the sixth minute but Columbian saw his effort hit the side netting.
Varca SC once again missed a chance to take the lead in the 15th minute when Elvis saw his effort sail over the bar. Finally Varca SC were punished for not taking their chances as DBO Fatorda capitalised on the only chance in the 40th minute as Roque Borges netted the match-winner. Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda will meet Raia SC in the quarter-finals on January 24.
