Don Bosco Oratory oust Assolda, enter finals

Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda trounced Assolda Sports Club 3-0 to storm into the finals of 33rd St Joseph Festival inter-village football tournament organised by Dramapur Sports Club at Dramapur ground, on Tuesday. The winners were leading 2-0 at half time.
Don Bosco were a dominant side right from the word go. They controlled the midfield with George Baretto playing a key role in feeding the strikers.
George Barreto put Don Bosco into the lead in the 15th minute after receiving a pass from Vincent Barbosa .
At the other end, Assolda Sports Club seldom troubled the rival defence and were a subdued lot.
Francis Andrade doubled the lead in the 25th minute when he unleashed a left footer which found the roof of the net off a pass from Cliff Baretto.
Vincent Barbosa rounded off the tally in the 40th minute of the second session.
Don Bosco will take on Sao Jose de Areal in the finals on October 11.
