TUEM: Don Bosco High School, Tuem, won the Pernem Taluka U-17 girls football championship after defeating RD Khalap High School, Mandrem, 3-2, via the tie-breaker, in the tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Mandrem ground.
The score was tied 2-2 at the end of the regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Sanjana, Emilia and Jasmine were on target for the winners. Earlier in the tournament, they defeated New English High School, Keri, 3-2 in the quarterfinals and in the semi-finals they pipped St. Joseph School, Pernem, 1-0.
The Tuem school will now play in the north district level tournament.
